are in boston. he will also campaign in ohio and pennsylvania, a state that hasn't voted for a republican presidential nominee since george bush senior, back in '88. what does that tell you? is that a hail mary backup in case he loses ohio or just worth a try since he's in the neighborhood or does he think he really has a chance? >> it depends on who you ask, anderson. clearly the polls have tightened up in pennsylvania. they took a look at it, when you talk to the folks in the romney campaign they say listen, we have spent the money, we need to spend in all these battleground states that john was talking about. all of our resources that we can put in there are there. we are up on the air as much as we can be. there's no more room for ads on tv in all these battleground states and they took a look at pennsylvania and said first of all, it's right next door to ohio so not like they have to go across the country to go there. plus more than 90% of pennsylvanians will vote on election day. there's no early voting in pennsylvania. absentees, you have to meet a certain criteria so the vast majo

are seeing snow, even in new york city. all the big cities, boston, new york, philadelphia, a little snow. not much in the way of accumulation, really along the big cities and the 95 corridor, but still you'll see it come down. kind of get new the christmas spirit. we do have winter weather advisories and we will see accumulati accumulations. want to show you where. here's the radar. the white delynn naturing where the snow potentially is falling. some of it called zerba. starts as snow in the atmosphere but the atmosphere is dry but it dissipates so we don't see it at the surface. it does moisten the atmosphere to finally deliver some snow. this is the heart of it. scranton, pennsylvania, southeastern pennsylvania, northwestern new jersey, that's where we're going to get into the snow. morristown, new jersey, for example. but, with this line, a lot of energy with it, could see some severe weather. look at birmingham, down toward montgomery, all heading eastward, atlanta, georgia, will be slow go. no question this afternoon at the airport. things will really slow down. jackson all the way

through the weekend, but not by too much. that holds true for boston and even syracuse seeing highs in the 50s. for the parade this morning, right in the mid-40s, looking good, and the winds will be comfortable, which is great for the floats. but if you're driving in memphis this morning or if you're driving down in houston, i'm getting some reports on twitter that there is dense fog out there, so be careful. another thing to keep in mind are the strong winds through the plains states. wyoming, dakotas, gusts could get as strong as 45 miles per hour. so that may impact your travel, as far to the east as minneapolis. we're also looking at low clouds in seattle and that fog that i mentioned that could slow you down. finally, if you're looking for a little taste of wintry weather, you'll find it in international falls, minnesota. but the rest of the country is looking warm. brooke and alina, temperatures are actually 20 degrees above normal today across parts of the midwest. it's a nice and warm thanksgiving. >> nice. enjoy the weather. bonnie, thank you. >>> this week, "the next list"

island, and for atlantic city, places like boston, generally speaking, we're starting out as rain, and maybe a rain/snow mix. and then we're looking at it changing over to all rain. well, the frontal system is making its way towards the eastern seaboard, computer models probably overdoing the snowfall just a little bit. i think if anything, a half inch or an inch. but we're not looking at big, sick amounts. however quite a different story back across texas into louisiana and arkansas, with a chance for some hail. strong winds. and possibility of some tornadoes going into the afternoon. this is going to be an afternoon event, and the rest is just slight across this region. in new york, those readings will be in the 40s today. but for new york city, on tuesday, only into the 30s. and then we see this slow upward tick as far as the temperatures go. so, john, it looks like it's going to be fairly messy for people who are going to try to still be recovering from superstorm sandy. >> starting when, karen, was that? >> this will be on tuesday. it will start tonight, and going into tuesda

's private investment firm in boston. but he's not joining the firm. so he's going to have an office in those offices, but not be a part of the firm. so what does this equal? that equals to he still has a day job. and if you do look at how president obama has handled himself as president, he has sort of cultivated this team of rivals atmosphere within this administration. he had a hard fought campaign with hillary clinton. and then he went on to make her secretary of state. does that mean he's going to name mitt romney to his cabinet? i talked to a democratic official who told me she would be shocked if that were to occur. and that this -- this should be an interesting discussion when you look at some of the things that mitt romney said in the days after the election. he had that conference call with those donors where he talked about, well, the president won because he was giving out gifts to minority groups and so forth. so there may be some fence mending going on, but there may also be a discussion of ideas. mitt romney talked about ideas during the campaign, that the president says he res
